The Holland Department of Public Safety has three Divisions: Criminal Investigations, Patrol, and Services. The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for follow-up investigations of cases relating to serious felonies, child abuse and criminal sexual conduct cases, juvenile crime referrals and arson. Members of the Patrol Division respond to crimes in progress, enforce traffic laws, interact with the public, and handle traffic crashes. The Services Division is responsible for administrative tasks, public information and media releases, recruiting and hiring, police internships, and grant proposals.
