The Dearborn Heights Police Department consists of an Administrative Division, Patrol Service Division, and Investigative Division. The Administration is responsible for the management and guidance of the department. The Patrol Services Division is responsible for maintaining the 24-hour jail and the police K-9 unit. The Investigative Division maintains the Detective Bureau and the Traffic Bureau.
